Swilly Boat Tours was founded by Conor, a lifelong man of the water with a passion for the sea and a deep knowledge of the waters of west Donegal built up over 15 years of exploration. What began as a personal love of the ocean has grown into a mission to share its beauty, history, and wildlife with visitors and locals alike.

Lough Swilly is one of Ireland’s most spectacular and historically rich waterways — and at Swilly Boat Tours, we believe the best way to experience it is from the water. From the dramatic coastline of Dunree to the iconic beam of Fanad Lighthouse, from the ancient stone forts that guard the lough’s shores to the hidden sea caves that only a boat can reach, we’re here to show you a side of Donegal that most visitors never get to see.
Our Vessel
We operate an 8 metre Excalibur RIB — an Irish-built boat renowned for its quality, stability, and performance. Powered by a 350hp outboard engine capable of reaching 55 knots, she is one of the finest vessels of her kind on Irish waters.
Safety & Licensing
Your safety is our absolute priority. Swilly Boat Tours is fully licensed by the Maritime and Coastguard Organisation (MSO) and fully insured for commercial passenger operations. Your skipper is fully Commercially endorsed by Sailing Ireland on behalf of Transport Ireland, so you are in the safest of hands.
